CoiscÉim Eile

Coiscéim Eile is a charity founded by Joan Ryan of Cashel, Co. Tipperary and Maura Moriarty of Cahirciveen, Co. Kerry. The first objective of the Charity was to raise funds to purchase a Hocoma Lokomat.  The Lokomat is now located in First Step Children’s Rehabilitation Clinic in Patrickswell.  Having successfully completed this objective in June 2009, raising c. €300,000 in under one year, the group then decided to continue to invest their energies and have since assisted a range of different projects providing support and/or equipment.

BionessOn 11th June Coisceim Eile donated €10,000 to Cunamh. Cunamh is setting out to provide a specialist centre for children with special needs in Cahirciveen.

Recent projects include the provision of a suite of rehabilitation equipment for the Rehabilitation Unit in St. Patrick's Hospital, Cashel, including an Armeo (arm rehabilitation device), Bioness L300 Drop Foot System and a Biodex Balance system.
